Objective:
  • SAT I (breakdown):
  • ACT: 36
  • SAT II: 800MathII, 750 Chem, 720 USH
  • Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 4.0, 4.39 w (highest ever at school, except for valedectorian this year)
  • Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): 2
  • AP (place score in parenthesis): 5 APUSH and 5 Lang, taking 5 more APs this year
  • IB (place score in parenthesis):
  • Senior Year Course Load: 5 APs, theology, music theory honors, and band
  • Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): NMF, Presidential Scholar candidate, huge Key club stuff
Subjective:
  • Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): KEY CLUB(Pres, VP, Lt. Gov, chairman for huge projects that raised tons of money), Band, Peer Ministry, NHS, Rho Kappa, Mu ALpha Theta, SADD, Youth group, and a few more

  • Volunteer/Community service: over 900 (almost 9000 hehehe)
  • Summer Activities: Haiti Mission trip, work.... work. Boy's state. work
  • Essays: i thought they were pretty good

  • Additional Rec: from boss. very short and to the point
  • Interview: i thought this went horribly

Reflection

  • Weaknesses: sat IIs, no competitions and few awards outside of key club (didn't really apply to any...)
  • Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: prob URM, which makes me feel guilty
  • Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Rejected by Yale, but accepted by Harvard, MIT, BC, BU, UF, Fordham, Caltech, FSU, and Harvey Mudd
General Comments: congrats to those who got in. For those who didn't, I'm sure you will end up at another amazing place and will be even more amazing wherever you end up. Goodluck to all in making a decision.

Funny, in my rejection letter it said something like "we are sure you greatly disappointed." Not really. anywho, congrats to everyone who got into yale!
