the 10% is not at all true. they were (presumably) being sarcastic, or maybe bitter.

22.8% of the class of 2012 is multicultural, and 5% are international. there are students from all 50 states and around 1/3 students are on financial aid with an average package of around $35,000. so nz12 is... wrong. yes it is not as diverse as the overall population, but there is racial/ethnic, geographical and economic diversity that may not be apparent at first glance.
