the "yes" moment

S and my husband and I were there for the first half of admitted students day. S had a huge cold and bronchitis, so was resistent to going. However we went up, he talked to a faculty member in the Physics dept, saw the dorms, met a kid from Oklahoma who planned the same major as him (comp. sci), and said, "As soon as I smelled the air, I said 'yes' this is where I want to be." He was tired, so we left before the student life panel or Botstein, but we heard Leon answer questions for 30 families in November when our S applied immediate decision process-it was fabulous. So, there is a stamp on the envelope. It gets mailed tomorrow. The loathesome college process is finally over.
