  • Rank: school doesn't rank but top quintile
  • Other Tests (AMC, AP, IB): none
Subjective
  • Essays: don't know how to describe, but I really think they were well done, represented me well, and showed my match for the school
  • Teacher Recs: one was great about risk taking, one not read
  • Counselor Rec: I'm sure it was great
  • Supplementary Material: TWO extra recs (one was short) from a teacher and a comm service supervisor
  • Hook(recruited athlete, legacy, Nobel Prize): absolutely nothing

it was all about the subjective, and my personality which I really worked HARD to convey. I definitely went all or nothing on this. I went out of the way to visit multiple times, contact admissions officers, and convey a genuine interest. MIT was undoubtedly my first choice. I am SO EXCITED! Thank you so much to everyone on this site for your support and the tremendous resource this has been. I genuinely wish the deferred the best of luck possible.

EDIT: **Sorry, I'm not sure how to format this... :/ and I'm too excited to figure it out right now! I may revise later to give a more complete picture of my application if possible.
