Hi Momrath,
My son is getting ready to decamp to academe, but in 2010, not this Fall. Going for a liberal arts degree again - an MA (or two) and possibly a PhD in Film and Media Studies. He did not enjoy the real-world that much. He has a job that he does not like (and does not pay as much). Not sure if his liberal arts degree will get him a more lucrative position but it will keep him happy for a while.. Thanks for asking. He is looking into NYU/Columbia and programs in California.
