i'm pretty excited to be attending both deloitte's and e&y's slp this summer! i'm a rising junior, btw.
the big 4 actively recruit at my school, and i interviewed for them in the spring semester (around march-april) through the internship board our business school provides for all undergraduates. it was a pretty simple process - i just electronically submitted my resume, they "prescreen" (i'm guessing people with a sub-par GPA weren't accepted, since my friend with a much more diverse and qualified resume than mine was screened out but his gpa was .2 lower), select you for an interview, and you meet with one of their senior managers or HR reps. the interview wasn't stressful at all either, they basically ask you why you're interested in the firm, accounting... they don't expect you to have heaps of experience already, since they only hire mostly juniors as interns.
