they responded to my email today. apparently the main factor is that my brother graduated and, even though he is going to grad school and my family will be spending just as much on education as last year, he no longer counts into our financial aid because he is no longer an undergrad. there is also something about an "increase in my investments/assets" that we aren't sure about and my parents are looking in to what that might mean. i understand what the university is doing but it doesn't change the fact that my parents are still paying for both of us. also did the Cal grant for this year/last year show up on financial aid page because my parents filed FAFSA both years and it didn't show up on either
