Hmmm...
I was being sarcastic ... she's clearly doing exciting stuff ... but she doesn't share any of that with me. It's just work for her -- that's the vibe I get. Nothing exciting, nothing to passionately talk about.

edit: actually when she does talk -- it's about office politics and the incompetence of managers (think Dilbert in a defence contractor setting), and the cities she occasionally travels to for work -- but nothing regarding the work (or the science concepts) in itself. She's very thoughtful and kind -- a very people person -- but to her science is just a job tool. (Or housecleaning tool.)
