College Confidential - View Single Post - So how intense are the accelerated language classes?

When I attempted to register for First-Year Italian I at my orientation all of them were closed! So, I opted to take the accelerated first-year Italian class. I know it will be fast paced and a lot of hard work (I'm okay with that...I like learning languages), but I fear that it will consume me. Does anyone have any pointers on how to tackle this class or have any experience?
