I'm a Christian and I'm going to save myself for marriage. The reason I will is because marriage is simply secures having sex as much as it possibly can (of course, there's always a chance of divorce.) It seems to me like having sex after a long-term relationship can still have its consequences. There's always the chance of breaking up ( a much simpler action than divorce ) and giving all of yourself to one person and then having the relationship turn sour is a lot of the times detrimental to certain people. And also, having sex with more than one person before marriage causes comparison--disappointment if your spouse doesn't live up to someone else in the past in that area. The Bible suggests waiting until marriage to have the best experience of sex as possible. It's supposed to be one of God's gifts to the human race, and to experience the greatness of it, it's best to do it inside marriage. And also, as Christians, it's not a matter of whether or not we are "allowed" to, the Bible just gives us something to live by in order to make our lives more productive, loving, and fulfilled. Being a Christian isn't based on actions, cuz hell, we all screw up! It's about the heart, and our efforts.
