Yes, I see what you mean. My DS took the SAT's in 8th grade to be considered for a summer program--didn't end up enrolling in the program but his good scores comforted us. Seeing as how one can take the SAT's as often as you like these days, perhaps yours should go ahead and take the test itself as a practice round, just to see how they'll do, even before the PSAT. Takes the mystery, etc., out of it, too. Assuming they don't object horribly. Why not take the real thing, then see if tutoring, etc., is needed for improving the scores?
