I think my stats might get you optimistic about admission but keep in mind..I had a mega-hook.
GPA:3.97/5
SAT:1970
SAT Math:670 Physics:720
Decent extracurriculars: Jazz band, Newspaper..some community service..
What really made me stand out was my essay about my experiences in the singapore army..and one of my recommendations..
So bottom line..theres no winning formula for admission into UVa unlike a lot of the other test score/GPA intensive schools like UC berkeley for example.
