Ok. Someone asked how it could be possible that the lower of the mid-range range SAT scores reported by ND are higher than those reported by Duke and Stanford when Duke and Stanford are generally regarded as more selective. My response is that this simply means that ND places a greater emphasis on test scores than Duke and Stanford, and I'm guessing that this is because ND can't afford to be as flexible as these other schools on test scores because it needs higher test scores to balance out its lower reputational score in the U.S. News formula. Just a guess though.
