Oh yes, I forgot about that, so I wasn't looking hard for it. (I could barely make out Kellogg since its view from Alderman is blocked by trees...) I'm taking another trip downtown today so maybe I can see.
There's significant construction everywhere though. If you haven't heard, many of the busses are on detour, because the Central Grounds portion of McCormick Rd is now one-way for summer roadside construction -- the routes from Gilmer to Chapel are fine, but in the other direction the busses have to take a detour through Emmet =D.
They're pulling up bus stops to renovate them -- hopefully we'll have some decent cover from the rain and wind this fall!
And I don't know what they're building by the Curry School -- an extension? It was bare steel when spring started but now I can see the emerging monolith of a massive building... I have no idea what they're doing by Clark Hall either. And Garrett? And oh oh it'll be so cool when the South Lawn opens. =D
Dean J, if you're reading this, I'm curious how much the University is spending on construction, and how the recession has affected it. Does this go on every year? Is construction during summer pretty routine?
