Good point on the tough grading system at some schools (for example, Cornell has a rep for being perhaps the easiest Ivy to get into but then it's tough to get a high GPA). A 3.7 GPA from Cornell with a 36 on the MCATs could be good enough for an Ivy level med school as long as the demonstrated commitment to med is also there from HS and college extracurrics.
