| Honors college
Getting a bit confused about the honors college. Seems there are a bunch and don't know which son would qualify for or is in automatically.
Son is a NMSF, has a 32 ACT, will be an engineering major.
We've done the school application, filled out the scholarship application, and have been accepted to Bama and the College of Engineering.
Do we just apply for the regular honors college, or is it an automatic admittance, no need to apply?
He was also invited to apply for University Fellows, and I understand that is a separate admission.
Just wondering, is there a general Honors College, where you can live in the Honors dorms, and does that require a special application, with a specific deadline and teacher recommendations and essays?
Don't want to miss out on any opportunities son has with his acceptance because we didn't fill out the necessary paperwork.
Based on other threads, I'm assuming the computer based honors program is competitive like the university fellow. Do we have to be invited to apply for that one?
