Applications / Apply to FSU Film / Film School / FSU - The College of Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts
Were you on a general tour? The admission for film school is totally separate, very competitive, and is separate from general admission to FSU. It is a limited access program which you apply to in addition to the general admission. Did you visit the film school department?
They will narrow the field down based on the application materials, and then interview about 50-60 students. I believe that at that time you will have the opportunity to submit your work. I believe there are about 15 slots available for freshman admissions. I suspect they have over 1000 applicants.
They can tell who they want to interview. Then you can wow them with your work. I think that there is little time to evaluate 1000 portfolios. But your work will be evaluated if you make the cut.
Search the FSU board there are other posts from last year and the year before, including threads with posts from those who made it to the interview.
