I had gotten into Brown back when I applied (I was completely shocked that I did, but I think my partial sob story was what got me in). I almost actually went there, but then I was told Emma Watson was going to Yale instead. To my dismay she ended up at Brown. But, I'm not complaining. UCSD is by far the more awesomer (yay for bad grammar!) school (in my obviously biased opinion)
Of course, that wasn't my only reason for choosing SD (weather, proximity to home, cost, how I felt about each campus, etc etc).
Like others are saying, factor in as many things as you can. I recommend making a pro/con list. They're almost always helpful and with one you should be able to make a decision you'll be happy with
