I received my pin fine by e-mailing to Harvard. Assuming that you have already sent your application, just remember to e-mail them with only your first and last name and whatever other directions are posted on the site. Since you have hotmail, you may want to check your junk mail. If you still cannot receive your pin through e-mail, just wait for about a week or so after you send your application and your pin number will come in the mail. Good luck!
