I agree. And, I do think that girls tend to want to connect with a potential roommate ahead of time, whereas I've seen a lot of guys just go with the randomly placed roomie. It might be that there is sometimes more drama associated with females sharing a close space. But, I definitely think it can be beneficial to choose a roommate via someplace like the Facebook Class of_______pages. That doesn't mean going with whomever the school places you with is necessarily going to be a failure. It can work out either way.
