Honestly, it seems that whichever location freshmen live in, they all end up thinking it's the best place. I think you'll be happy in either location.
Food: Both the big dining hall and the quick market (Hillside) are in Sue B, so that's really convenient if you want to eat without going outside to another building.
Library and classrooms: they're probably about the same distance
Frats: the quad is closer to the frat area.
