^^actually, ST one of the kids deferred EA is actually close to an "A" student.....3.6 UW GPA, but on the low side for SAT's (but not very low); I was actually suprised she was deferred, but from what I know, they do use EA to round out the class (as well as RD)...last year, the NJ rep made a point to mention that if there are alot of NJ kids in ED, it is always harder to be accepted EA, even with higher stats.....
