@sompornburin I am an International student living in California and I got one, so there's hope dude!!

@powerfuldog: I think it's safe to say that getting a likely letter from an Ivy means you're a legit candidate for all schools. Of course different schools look for different things and you'll obviously have solid shots at schools like Brown, Columbia, Cornell, and Penn. And decent chances at Harvard, Princeton, and Yale. My school's Val and Sal from 2009 got likelies from Dartmouth. Val got into Harvard, Yale, Brown, Amherst, and Williams... But he was denied at Princeton, Columbia, and Stanford. Sal got into Brown, Stanford, MIT, and Caltech... But got denied at Harvard, Yale, Wlliams, and Cornell.

2010 Val got likelies from Cornell and Brown (if I remember correctly)... He also got into Columbia, Princeton, and Middlebury. He was denied at Harvard, Yale, and Dartmouth.

2011 Sal got likelies from Brown and Dartmouth.. She ended getting into Pomona, Penn, and Williams too. Waitlisted at Stanford and she got denied at Harvard, Yale, and Princeton.

(We have a tutoring program at my school where all the top juniors and seniors help out the top frosh and sophomore kids, so I stayed in touch with these individuals and asked for their stats haha)

I'm Val this year and I also got likelies from Penn (video thing actually) and Cornell. I was already deferred at Stanford REA though. Quite frankly, this is all anecdotal stufffff, but I think all are relatively legit examples of what could happen.

@Funkmaster: You're a boss man. Thanks for your service; although I am not American, I do live here haha.
