I get it, it was foolish of me to not take advantage of something I was lucky to be considered for at all. Just wanted to say one last thing in my defense, however -- I heard back from Chicago in December, was named a university scholar, so I have around $50,000/year with the national merit included. I just really didn't think I'd get any more money than that so I decided not to do it.
