We do a little of everything with D's stuff. She's allowed to store a few things in the dorm for the summer; we use collegeboxes which picks up, stores and delivers the stuff D stores with them; D ships some stuff home, and we pick up the rest.
YDS - that's a great tip about using plastic bins rather than cardboard boxes to store things in the dorm. I think we did that last year, but I'd forgotten that this time around.
