hmmm. I personally believe that the paper itself should be about the work done, and the mentor form about who did what. BUT... even in the real world, academics are not the most honest people, so do realize that many mentors will just say "XYZ DID ALL THE WORK THEMSELVES. OMG. THEY SHOULD WINNARS!!!!111"
It isn't a pretty sight, but you can usually tell when someone does a project w/o a mentor(like me), because reading their paper you can tell it wasn't written with the assistance of a pro.
BTW, is this just unfair or what?
