Where to go in the Common Data Set to Calculate yield:

Go to Section C of the Colleges Common Data Set:
Quote:
C. FIRST-TIME, FIRST-YEAR (FRESHMAN) ADMISSION
Applications
C1. First-time, first-year (freshman) students:

Total first-time, first-year (freshman) men who applied _12,821_________
Total first-time, first-year (freshman) women who applied _11,631______
Total first-time, first-year (freshman) men who were admitted __3,404____
Total first-time, first-year (freshman) women who were admitted __3,217_
Total full-time, first-time, first-year (freshman) men who enrolled __1,547_
Total part-time, first-time, first-year (freshman) men who enrolled ______
Total full-time, first-time, first-year (freshman) women who enrolled __1,561_
Total part-time, first-time, first-year (freshman) women who enrolled _____
There you will see the information you need to calculate yield.
Just divide the number enrolled by the number admitted to get the yield.
(ie. 3404 + 3217 = 6621 admitted; 1574 + 1561 = 3108 enrolled; 3108 / 6621 = 46.9% yield )

Or you can spend $15 for US News and Report's Online College Rankings and they have them already figured out for you. Plus lots of other data)
