| Ccy sylvie,
I attended CCY last summer for musical theatre--it was the best summer of my life. I am still in touch with almost everyone I met there, and I wish every day was like a CCY day. The RA's are great, the Wes campus is gorgeous, facilities are tremendous. The MT staff is outstanding. The choreographer changes year-to-year, I think, but the musical director, Ethan Nash, has an outstanding voice, great tips on how to better your voice & confidence, and has a great sense of humor. The director is Carolyn Kirsh--she was in the original b'way cast of "A Chorus Line". Chances are, if your S auditioned at Wesleyan, he auditioned for her. She is amazing. They really stress the acting portion of the program, and while the final piece is pretty much all singing & dancing, she teaches you how to effectively act a song.
There's so much more I could write here praising the program. It made me SO much more confident in my auditioning skills and my life in general (I know, classic advert. material-whoops)
PM me with any specific questions--i would love to answer any questions you or your S may have.
