As someone who is graduating this semseter with a Musical Theatre BFA(and using raddude's name), U of A is very upfront about cutting issues. Though the program is not perfect, cutting has always been an obvious possiblity and everyone is made blatantly aware of it. Anyone who says differently is ignorant of everything the teachers tell us. In a lot of the cut students, there was a lack of passion. If you can't hack it at the U of A, you shouldn't let it limit your passion, but rather drive you harder. However, cuts can be a reality check. I've never seen someone who was cut who wasn't better off for it. |
