| in terms of the leaving, i can't speak for whether or not you have class July 3rd, but if you don't, you are allowed to go home for the weekend as long as the proper paperwork is in from your parents. a lot of people went home during parents weekend and came back sunday night. you definitely won't have class july 4 (unless maybe you didn't have class July 3, but did on july 4). you'll get a day off no matter what lol...i must advise, though, you do get a lot of homework over the weekend. the weekend harry potter came out, my friends and i read the whole book in one day (started 1 pm, finished 11 pm)....while we were glad we read it, it did put us behind on some of our work....all this work is great fun, but it still is a lot...so while i was still spending a lot of time over the weekend hanging with my friends, i still was practicing, reading plays for dramatic lit, etc
as far as your friend staying in the dorm, i have recollection that they said outside friends could come visit the dorms and could be in the dorms until curfew...i don't think friends were allowed to sleep in the dorms, but i'm not positive. you might want to call the school about that. |
