Clemson National Scholars: Ten or more full scholarships are awarded to the nation’s best and brightest students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership and a commitment to service. These prestigious scholarships are awarded through a rigorously competitive evaluation process, and cover the cost of tuition, fees, room, board, books and personal expenses. Recipients are offered educational enhancements including membership in the honors program, Calhoun College; residence in honors housing; and assistance in applying for prestigious fellowships such as Rhodes Scholarships.

Alumni Distinguished Scholarship: ADS is one of the nation's outstanding scholarship programs, based on intellectual performance. The stipend, which is renewable over eight semesters, covers tuition, fees, room and board, plus $1,000 per year toward expenses (approximately $15,200 per year for Michigan residents and $27,000 per year for out-of-state residents). Students from all over the nation compete by examination on the MSU campus in February. Participation is by invitation only. Invitations are sent to the most outstanding students who apply for admission to MSU by November 1. At least 15 awards are made each year.

Distinguished Freshman Scholarship: Awarded to at least 20 runners-up in the ADS competition, tuition and fees for nine semesters (approximately $8,400 per year for Michigan residents and $20,100 per year for out-of-state residents).

Wells Scholarship: The Wells Scholars program offers a full-ride scholarship that includes tuition and fees, room and board, a stipend, books and supplies and an overseas study opportunity to 20-25 freshmen who display excellence in scholarship and academics, leadership and character, and extracurricular involvement. All Indiana high schools and select out of state high schools may nominate up to two students each year to apply for the scholarship. Students from non-nominating out-of-state high schools can be considered for nomination by the Office of Admissions. The Wells Scholarship is renewable for four years by maintaining a specified GPA. Note: This particular scholarship cannot be combined with other awards.
