| Penn student, a concentration is only 4 classes in Wharton. Assuming you've taken some finance classes, getting an I-banking job from M+T will probably be easier rather than harder than a whartonite with 1+ concentrations (assuming everything else equal). I-banking is a very quantitative job and an engineering degree displays that you are capable of/accustomed to handling numbers on a regular basis. The only disadvantage is that engineering students tend to have lower GPAs. However, if you can keep your GPA at a good level, then you will certainly have a leg up.
Also, I'd recommend you not focus so much on I-banking so early. They make 80k+ because they are essentially working two jobs with the hours they put in. |
