I honestly doubt that anyone here can answer those questions. You should contact the colleges you are interested in and explain your situation to someone from the admissions dept. (hopefully a person who works with homeschool students or special situations) and ask about the accreditation.

I also think it's pretty lame that your prinicpal doesn't know the answer to that question - he/she should, that's their job. You might consider getting your parent involved.
