Response to post #9, re: applicant pool at Harvard: an applicant obviously does not fit the profile of the top 50%, or even even the top 75%, to be admitted-- 25% of those admitted didn't. Applicants should look at the odds realistically and recognize when slim chance is really no chance.
I want to go back and look at the data-- what percent of applicants with perfect SATs were admitted? what percent with 2100?
