Transfer admissions is somewhat more competitive than freshman admissions (the transfer acceptance rate is usually a single digit), so I would advise retaking a 19-something SAT for the transfer admissions process.
The best thing you can probably do is to make sure you've taken the equivalent of an MIT freshman year -- single and multivariable calc, physics (mechanics and E&M), intro chemistry, and maybe biology. The transfer admissions site says that "applicants with a wide breadth of mathematics and science courses may be at an advantage," and I'd take that as close to gospel.
