| We med a gal who was admitted to the biomed department. She is in a joint program with the School of Medicine. Needless to say,she was VERY sharp.
From what I can tell, Cincinnati has a terrific engineering department. They do offer coops too. Here is what Cincinnati specifically says about coop in bioengineering:
" Students frequently find co-op positions with companies such as Atricure, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Biomet, Depuy and with research laboratories in the Colleges of Engineering and Medicine and in Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Atricure located in West Chester, Ohio, designs and manufactureres sugrical instruments to treat cardiac disorders. Ethicon Endo-Surgery, located in Blue Ash, Ohio, is a division of Johnson & Johnson, which designs and manufactures medical instruments for minimally invasive surgery. Biomet and Depuy, located in Warsaw, Ind., design and manufacture total joint replacements and other orthopedic implants. The president and co-founder of Biomet is a graduate of UC College of Engineering" |
