We concluded the proximity to a major city was the reason as well. On a recent visit we discovered a beautiful campus and people that were incredibly helpful and friendly. The facilities were top shelf. Just wondered if anyone else was puzzled by this.
We found this in The Princeton Review 361 Colleges The Smart Student's Guide to Colleges. Places like Stanford and Rice have a 99 rating compared to a 67 for Duke.
