Current students! or other accepted students with parents who work with WashU. I really need some insight.

Kids with parents who work at WashU get tuition waived.

MY QUESTION IS: if you are awarded a merit scholarship that exceeds the amount your family is expected to contribute after getting tuition waived. WHAT HAPPENS?

does you scholarship get rescinded? becuase i heavily doubt that i would get a 10,000 stipend with my leftover scholarship money.

Please help me understand! thanks so much
