| ridiculous exagerration. Any college in an urban area is going to be more dangerous than the suburbs. There are homeless people at berkeley, welcome to the big city kid. But 99% of them are gonna leave you alone, for the most part they'll only yell at you or ask you vigorously for money.
But there's some common sense ways to keep yourself from ANY danger. don't go to people's park late at night unless you want crack. don't do something stupid like walk alone in a dark place, and so on. It's just being confident and smart. |
