I know I have to take something from list A, but can I have a second class outside of list A or B? |
Hmm yeah I don't think they offer that class since it's not on either list A or B. Sorry. Personally I think you should just relax over the summer and just start college in the fall.

Okay, so you are in the College of Letters and Sciences. Here's what you're looking for:

Let me just briefly go over what you need:
1. Reading and Composition

There's part A and part B, so two semester's worth. Doesn't look like your AP score will help out here. That's okay. You'll probably want to take a course at a CC that fulfills the first part.

You may also notice that you have to fulfill the entry college writing requirement before being able to fulfill the R&C requirement, but your 3 in AP Language covers the entry college writing requirement.
The second requirement you want to finish is the Qualitative Reasoning requirement, which is essentially math. The second link on the page that I linked tells you the requirements. You probably fulfilled this but if not then just take a CC course that fulfills it.
The third requirement that's good to get out of the way is the foreign language requirement. Most students took at least 3 years of foreign language in high school so they got it out of the way. If you haven't fulfilled this, just take a CC course that fulfills it.
Now for the breadth requirement. The website says "Note for transfer students: This requirement may be met by Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) or UC Reciprocity." Uhh...I have no idea what this means.
Here are the pre-reqs for the psychology major, so if you want to get math done with, looks like statistics is a good class to take:
