| There are also great ballet DVDs that I got last year, though I'm not sure how helpful they can be if you have no experience whatsoever. FSU's dance is definately a DANCE audition, and not necessarily "dance for musical theatre" at the auditions. You definately need to know basic ballet to survive the dance portion. Additionally, I'm pretty sure FSU is very "triple threat" oriented, and a severe lack of dance skill could hurt (though, I could be wrong in this). There are some schools, though, that take in singing ability above all else.
But, FSU has a GREAT education program (have a friend that goes there) and a terrific BA theatre program. |
