| Competitive High School?
Does having a "competitive" high school really help you? I go to a big public school in Florida (3000+ kids) that doesn't send many off to ivies; I'd be one of the few. To paint a picture, I took the SAT II's at my own school with five other kids, all of which went to a private school nearby.
What does competitive mean, and can it really help you get accepted? It sounds to me that if your school has tons of kids that are ivy-oriented, it would hurt you, but that might just be a delusion of mine.
