The student center is the main student epicenter on campus -- it has places to eat, places to study, and places to lounge. Most students end up spending a decent amount of time there, since it's in the middle of campus and has good food options like a grocery store and a Dunkin Donuts.
(And, thekidhere, am I just a fast walker? I can get from MacGregor to the student center in five minutes with no problems.
