| Your GPA is important and that may already exempt you from the most selective schools-(but if it is in the top 10% you might be “ok”). Your SAT is very good on the other hand and I don’t know how much of an impression that would make on an admissions officer. What schools were you planning on applying to? –
As for your portfolio I feel like your pieces so far have a stylistic and “brand” appearance to them. I think you should branch out into different mediums and styles. You don’t need “architecture oriented” pieces, but some sketches or drawings might be a nice complement. The most important thing is that you keep producing. Strong portfolios are made when you don’t just have the minimum amount of high quality work, but a large amount of high quality work and you have to eliminate pieces because you simply have too much to show. Draw/paint everything around you and don’t stop until you absolutely need to- that very last painting may very well be your best work. |
