Doesn't "starting" really just mean first on the depth chart at that position? There may only be 11 guys on the field at a time, but there are some positions that wouldn't necessarily be on the field at the same time (like a punter would fill in for a QB on 4th down, or maybe using a heavier fullback instead of a running back on a short yardage play). |
