If you are talking about the "Candidates Choice" admissions, it appears to have changed this year to binding ED rather than non-binding EA. My S got the non-binding offer in January, and it was wonderful to have. Looks like they did away with that, unless there are other admissions plans that I don't see on their website.

How are you applying?
Early Decision I (binding) – Apply by November 1, 2007 and receive a decision by December 7, 2007.
Early Decision II (binding) – Apply by January 1, 2008 and receive a decision by February 1, 2008.
Regular Decision – Apply by January 15, 2008 and receive a decision by March 14, 2008.
Case Western still has non-binding EA, and uses the common application with very minimal supplement. No application fee if done online!

Early Action
This option is for intrepid students who wish to get a head start on the college admission process. Unlike the Early Decision option that some other schools offer, Early Action is non-binding.
