a few clarifications:
-my year, most of the people that i know were invited to the latino weekend were ultimately accepted. this is the first year they're combining the two minority recruitment events. these invitations are essentially likely letters. however, not receiving one doesn't mean that you're definitely going to get rejected.
-this weekend (being as how it is multiple nights) is designed for the prospective student, not the family. however, parents are invited to the accepted students days (blue devil days-- they're one day long + an optional night stay).
