I am looking to transfer to either Gallatin or CAS for fall 2008. I am a freshman at a small liberal arts college (top 50, I believe) and I hate it. It is TOO SMALL. haha. plus, i feel the academics are not as challenging as I had hoped for.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do at your current college as a freshman to increase chances of transfer addmission? I am in a few clubs, am on my way to developing relationships with profressors, and am doing very well academically. I am shooting for a 4.0 at the end of this year (aren't we all?, haha) but I am wondering what else I should do to get in at NYU.

What is NYU looking for in a student? Ive been to NY about 7 times and am going again in October but I've only walked around NYU's some what non-existent campus. It is hard to get a feel for it.

Any suggestions? Anyone know how tough it is to get into Gallatin as a transfer?

Also, I applied as a freshman as was not accepted (not surprised). HS stats were not very good. SAT 1980/2400. GPA 3.6, great recommendations though and I graduated with 60 college credits (HS was on a CC and we took dual-credit classes. Its one of those Bill Gates Foundation Schools).

Also, if anyone wants to chat about ways to get into NYU message me!

Thanks! Good luck to all you guys!
