Just read your previous posts...if your daughter is interested in Steinhardt (which stresses vocal performance), I would have her work on her vocal technique (through professional lessons) and not worry about how many shows she has for her resume. Prior MT experience was barely brought up. The program is centered on working with the faculty on 3 songs of the students choice, through individual voice lessons, vocal coaching and song analysis class. One song will be performed by each student at a showcase. In addition, there are 4 numbers that were coreographed and performed by the students in groups of 15 or so students. Apply early. I understand it was fairly competitive to get in last year. Although the summer program is not as well known as the CAP 21 program through Tisch, it seems that more and more students are finding out about it and applying.
