After the discussions we have had about being underpayed and overworked I found this study interesting. It studied rates of depression among different occupations. Engineering, architecture and surveyors had the lowest levels of depression at 4.3%. As a comparison, lawyers were at 6.4%, doctors at 9.6%, and arts, design and entertainment were at 9.1%. So perhaps you won't make as much money as some folks, but the odds are that you will be happier.
